About

100_3243Hello, I’m Hannah! Welcome to my blog, Tea and Ink! When I’m not cooking, baking or eating, I’m making a living as a social worker. I’ve been vegetarian my whole life, and love feeding friends and family. I also love trying out new restaurants, reading cookbooks in bed, BBC mysteries, hiding in my house with a pot of tea and my books, hosting craft nights with my friends, and spending time with my wife and our three evil cats.

The Contents of this Blog

I named this blog Tea and Ink in the spirit of one of my favourite quotes from C.S. Lewis: “You can’t get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suite me.” I had wanted to start a food blog for a long time; other people’s food blogs are major sources of inspiration and recipes for me, and I’ve reached a point where I want to contribute to this community. I also want this blog to reflect what I’d like from my life – an act of intention setting, if you will. I want my life to be filled with tea, books, delicious food, a sense of calm, and lots of love. Most of my posts are about what I’ve been cooking and baking, but some are about the latest thing I’ve read, a great new place I’ve found to eat at, and other random tidbits.

The Recipes in This Blog

All the recipes in this blog are vegetarian and a fair number are vegan and/or gluten-free. I always reference recipe sources and link to them when possible. I also add tags to each post which hopefully make recipe searching easy.

Questions?

If you have a question about a specific recipe, leave a comment on that post. For general questions, leave a comment on this page. I’ll try to get back to you as soon as possible!
